From factory to field, commissioning support that gets your system running

Site installation supervision, factory and site acceptance testing, functional verification and structured handover. Our commissioning team supports clients globally on switchgear, busbar and electrical infrastructure projects, with the engineering knowledge to resolve issues on site rather than escalate them.

01_ _ What Commissioning Covers

A structured route from delivered equipment to working system

Our commissioning service brings a system from delivered equipment to verified, operational performance. The work is structured around a defined sequence of activities, each with its own deliverables and sign-off.

Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)

Pre-despatch verification at our manufacturing facility, confirming the system meets specification before it leaves the factory.

Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)

On-site testing once the system has been installed, validating performance in the operational environment.

Installation Supervision

On-site supervision of the installation by the client's own contractor, providing engineering oversight at the critical points where most issues originate.

Functional Performance Verification

End-to-end functional testing to confirm the system performs across its full operating range, with results documented in a structured report.

Handover and Sign-Off

Formal handover including a signed post-commissioning checklist, completing the transfer of the system to the client.
02_ How we work on site

Commissioning is delivered by small, specialist teams. A typical engagement is supported by one or two technical specialists, with one focused on busbar systems and one on DC switchgear. Team size scales with project volume and timeline.

Engagements range from a single week on smaller installations through to multi-month programmes on major infrastructure builds. Project planning is agreed up front so the client's installation contractor and our commissioning team work to a shared schedule.

Hands-on installation is typically carried out by the client or their approved contractor. We recommend this model on cost and safety grounds, with our team providing supervision, technical input and verification rather than the manual installation itself.

03_ Where We Commission

Globally, across heavy electrical infrastructure

Our commissioning team operates internationally, supporting clients on installations across continents. Our strongest experience sits in three sectors:

Base metals plants: Commissioning of high-current electrical infrastructure for the metals processing industry.

Chemical plants: Process industry installations where electrical infrastructure forms part of a wider production system.

Hydrogen plants: A growing focus area, supporting the electrical balance-of-plant for green hydrogen production.

Recent commissioning projects have been delivered in Spain, Sweden, Finland and Peru, with global coverage outside sanctioned countries.

04_ Commissioning as a service

Standalone or part of a wider engagement

Commissioning is offered both as part of full design-and-manufacture engagements and as a standalone service. For clients who have procured equipment elsewhere but need engineering oversight during installation and verification, our team can be engaged on a project-by-project basis.

Our commissioning engineers are trained in the factory on each specific project, so site teams arrive with detailed knowledge of the equipment, its installation requirements and the verification programme.

01 / Frequently asked questions

Is commissioning offered on its own, or only with a full design-and-manufacture project?

Both. Commissioning can be procured as a standalone service for clients who have sourced equipment elsewhere but need engineering oversight during installation and verification.

What documentation is issued at the end of commissioning?

A site installation manual is provided ahead of arrival, and a post-commissioning checklist is signed by both parties at completion.

What does commissioning include?

Factory and site acceptance testing, installation supervision, functional performance verification, full documentation and a structured handover. Each engagement is scoped against the specific project.

Where do you operate?

Globally, with recent projects delivered in Spain, Sweden, Finland and Peru. We work in any country outside sanctions restrictions.

Who carries out the physical installation?

Hands-on installation is typically performed by the client or their approved contractor. Our team provides supervision, technical input and verification.
